The Computational Research and Discovery team at Compugen identifies these novel drug targets through integration of biological knowledge, genome and experimental data analysis. Our team has been developing tools that predict biological phenomena for over a decade and is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is predictable from large scale biological data.
Biological and health data are growing exponentially and with it so does the opportunity to understand human biology and cure diseases. We are seeking a talented and experienced software engineer to design and lead the software development of our next generation knowledgebase. In this role, you will build components that host a wide range of data types, such as genomic sequence data, large volumes of numerical matrix data, structured and unstructured biological and clinical data. You will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to devise novel algorithms and visualizations that deliver biological insights and lead to the discovery of therapeutic drug targets.
You will be a key component in shaping our future pipeline and you will have a front row seat watching the fruits of your labor materialize into lifesaving drugs for cancer patients.
This role requires strong software development skills, NoSQL and SQL database design experience and proven experience in leading software development projects in a high pace multi-disciplinary environment.
